The CX-9 is a crossover utility vehicle built for driving enjoyment, with a powerful 273 hp 3.7-litre V6 engine, 6-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode and a choice of either front- or all-wheel drive configurations.

The CX-9 features both sporty design and dynamic driving characteristics. Muscular front fenders, large 18" and 20" alloy wheels and a rear lip spoiler project an athletic look and give it a distinctive road presence. Although the CX-9 is engineered to provide the more refined, comfortable ride of a premium crossover utility vehicle, it still retains the pure, fun-to-drive Zoom-Zoom nature inherent in all Mazda vehicles.

The CX-9 was crafted both inside and out to be a 'prestige' vehicle, inspiring pride of ownership with a refined appearance and upscale amenities. Leather-trimmed upholstery, high-grade trim elements and premium features such as three-zone automatic climate control and an available voice-activated navigation system with rearview camera and Bluetooth® compatibility all combine to appeal to the senses and encourage a pleasant driving experience.

The CX-9 is outfitted with three rows of comfortable seating for a total of seven passengers, including a 60/40-split folding second-row seat and a 50/50-split folding third-row seat. It is also equipped with a wealth of premium convenience features, including power windows, mirrors and door locks, remote keyless entry, 3-zone automatic climate control and an 8-way power driver's seat. Available up-market options include a power liftgate, Intelligent Key passive entry/start system, BOSE® audio, a navigation system with MP3 functionality, Bluetooth® compatibility with Audio Profile and rearview camera parking assist, plus a DVD rear entertainment system

The CX-9 boasts a comprehensive array of safety features offering peace of mind, including: 6 standard airbags; available all-wheel drive; Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Traction Control System (TCS) and Roll Stability Control (RSC); 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBFD) and Brake Assist; triple-H body construction.
