Mazda Maintenance Schedule: Oil Changes

Your Mazda3 maintenance schedule will vary depending on make and model, so be sure to check your owner’s manual for manufacturer-recommended oil change intervals. Mazda oil change schedules are designated either as “Set” or “Fixed.” What’s the difference?

  • “Flexible” oil change monitor setting — Change your Mazda vehicle’s oil when the wrench indicator is ON. At this point, you should also replace the oil filter, air filter, and cabin air filter. Don’t wait more than 12 months to between filter replacements.
  • “Fixed” oil change monitor setting — Punctually replace the oil every 6 months, the air filter at 30 months, and the cabin air filter every 24 months.
